Primary Motivation is related directly to Homeostasis. Things you NEED to do to maintain survival/ body need. Exp: u need to drink water because ur thristy.

Secondary Motivation is opposed to PM. it's behavior that you do because you WANT to do it not because you need to do it. exp: Some salt in the diet is required but most of your drive to eat salt for hedonistic (for enjoyment).

Primary motivation refers to the main driving force behind a person's actions or behaviors, usually related to fulfilling basic needs like food, shelter, safety, etc. Secondary motivation, on the other hand, involves more complex factors such as personal goals, values, desires, or aspirations that go beyond fulfilling basic needs.
