those who put their faith in science...... something like the big bang can't ever be 100% proven just like god because we didn't see it happen but it is the most rational and likely situation since we have evidence to support the big bang. faith in science means accepting theories that can't be proven but that make the most sense, god is not an option since there is no evidence for god's existence.

∙ 8y agoPeople today realise that putting their trust in a God who does not really exist, is much the same as putting their trust in nothing. They realise that when things go wrong, when help is needed, it has always been family, friends or society that comes to help, but never God. So, now people in today's society put their faith and trust in their family, friends and society at large, without filtering this faith through a divine being. If, as more and more people are beginning to realise, God is not real, there is no reason to put faith and trust in him.

∙ 7y agoBased on the theory that if you want a helping hand, look at the end of your arm - they trust themselves.They generally trust trained technical people to do their best to help other people. This includes doctors, pharmacists,nurses, firemen, EMTs, search and rescue teams, pilots, engineers, water treatment plant operators, car mechanics and so on.
They also trust loyal friends, good parents and good neighbours. Sometimes they even trust the stranger who is there when they really need help.
All of the above have demonstrated track record of showing up and helping. "God" doesn't
