What is the difference between the halo effect and the Pygmalion effect?

The halo effect is a cognitive bias where our overall impression of a person influences our perceptions of their specific traits. The Pygmalion effect, on the other hand, is a self-fulfilling prophecy where higher expectations lead to an increase in performance. In essence, the halo effect is about perceptions influencing judgments, while the Pygmalion effect is about expectations influencing outcomes.

Are men or women more sensitive about nudity?

Sensitivity about nudity can vary widely among individuals regardless of gender. Cultural, religious, and personal beliefs play a significant role in shaping attitudes towards nudity. It is not accurate to generalize that one gender is more sensitive than the other.

For instance, a mediocre performance may seem worse if preceded by an outstanding one, or a person may appear more attractive after standing next to someone less attractive.
