Women and men have equal propensity for sinful behavior. It is commonly believed that woman is more sinful because of the story of Adam and Eve where the serpent (devil) convinced Eve to eat of the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and she in turn gave to fruit to Adam to eat. The scripture clearly says she ate the fruit and gave some to Adam who was with her.

By the same reasoning, the quote from Genesis must also be interpreted that the male is more susceptible to the influence of others and less likely to be able to think for himself or make his own decisions.
Neither of these are true. Humans have a range of capacities and each makes decisions based on what they know, what they feel, and what they believe, not by their gender. Believing this interpretation of Genesis is either prejudice (prejudging by gender) or an excuse (if you are the sinner). or that the male (Adam) is passive aggressive. There are any number of ways to interpret this passage, why is only one presented.
