* Foreign aid is our duty to humanity. After many years of exploitation by colonial powers, it is necessary to give back to developing nations. * Modern industrialized countries often rely on resources from Third World countries, so that foreign aid will, one day, lead to equality in foreign trade. * No nation exists in a vacuum. Ignoring overseas insecurity, poverty and starvation results in instability, genocide and war; it can breed terrorism and spawn disease outbreaks that are capable of becoming pandemic. * Aid is typically guided towards a goal, that is typically meant to improve the economic, social or military capabilities of the receiving country. If the economy of the receiving country is improved, it can typically trade more with the donor country, and thus aid becomes mutually advantageous (the Marshall Plan would give you a good idea on how this works). If the social standards of a country are improved, then stability is insured, and the donor can benefit from it (through trade, through partnerships etc.). If the military capabilities of a country are improved, the donor can expect an ally in the area. For a better account of why aid is given and how aid works, I suggest Jeffrey Sachs' "The Development Challenge" published in Foreign Affairs March/April 2005, vol 84, issue 2.
If used correctly, international aid can be very beneficial. It is important for aid to go toward sustainable development. It is also important for aid to be transparent. If countries know where other countries are spending their aid, the money will be divided equally among places and programs. If aid is going to the right projects it has the power to do a lot. A good example of this is the Millenium Villages Project. This Project has been very successful with development in villages in Africa.
I would suggest you ask those that were in need of the aid. Country's that are reasonably well of benefit from giving aid to needy countrys by making te worl a litle less dog eat dog and possibly preventing country that are in dire need from making alliances with other country's that in the long run may threaten our security.
Foreign aid is a foreign policy tool that generates goodwill for the United States through grants of money or other assistance to other countries. This helps promote diplomatic and economic relations, strengthen alliances, and address global challenges like poverty and humanitarian crises.
Two types of foreign aid are humanitarian aid, which is provided in response to emergencies like natural disasters or conflicts to address immediate needs such as food, water, and shelter, and development aid, which is aimed at long-term sustainable development projects in areas such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
It is unclear if America will continue to provide economic aid to Egypt during the transitional government period as decisions on aid are subject to various factors including the political situation, human rights concerns, and foreign policy priorities. The US government regularly reviews its aid to Egypt based on these factors.
An example of foreign affairs is when two countries negotiate a trade agreement to increase economic cooperation. This involves discussions on tariffs, quotas, and other trade barriers to promote mutual benefit for both countries. Foreign affairs also include diplomatic relations, foreign aid, and international interventions to address global issues like climate change or human rights violations.
Some of the enemies of Sierra Leone include rebel groups like the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) and political instability. Allies of Sierra Leone include countries that provide foreign aid and support for development, such as the United States and some European nations.
The United States gives foreign aid to other countries on a regular basis. The disadvantage of foreign aid include; increased national debt and the inability to care for the poor and needy citizens of our country.
well make a foundation for the foreign aid and it might help as long as u get some foundation money
Foreign aid is intended to result in development.
A disadvantage of foreign aid to a developing country might be the amount of money used for foreign aid when domestic aid is needed. It can be known up front if the aid will benefit the developing country.
the money we are giving isn't to a charity or to the actual person or group themselves, we are feeding money to the governments of the countries we are "aiding". the government officials get rich off of what we give and the people still suffer what they were suffering in the first place.
Foreign aid
Foreign aid is help such as economic or military assistance provided by one country to another.
Russia does not give foreign aid to the usa. In fact Russia killed most or all of it's foreign aid back in the 90's with the collapse of the Soviet Union and has just recently started a foreign aid program again.
The advantages of aid are:-Helps a country recover from crisis- Allows growth of a country if it is used with sound economic policies.-Disaster relief - e.g. Tsunami-eradication of diseases, e.g. smallpoxThe Disadvantages of aid are:-Some governments are corrupt and money may not go where it needs to go-Countries can become reliant on aid - increased dependency- Aid can help support authoritarian regimes.- Aid can be wasted on glorifying the aid organisation-Aid can discourage development and hinder foreign investment. This is because the recipient country's currency will rise in value and then their exports become more expensive to foreign countries.
