Electronics is a subfield of electrical engineering and a thing or a gadget can be constructed and designed by using electronics. Magnetism and electromagnetism is not the same thing although it is closely related. Electromagnetism is created by artificial means by having a current flows through a simple wire or other kind of conductor. The force of the magnetism is then increased by winding a length of wire around a coil or a tube. Electromagnetism also happens naturally, for example in the interaction of physical matter in stars such as the sun. When a current is applied to a coiled wire, then electromagnetic waves are created. Magnets can be natural or made from alloys, metals can be magnetized so they have a south and a north pole. Common to all magnets is that they have a magnetic effect, that is to say, they will have a pulling force towards other metals especially iron and steel. Things that have gravity are planets, magnets have magnetism and electronic devices have electronics.
