You can buy the game with or without a dance mat, you can choose. The one with the dance mat comes in a larger box. This is the same with all dance dance revolution games on all consoles.
You don't need a mat to play Just Dance 2 on the Wii, you just need a remote to hold in your right hand.
I don't think so, a gamecube one would work though.
Use the controller plugs located on the top of the console. You have to open the 2nd part of the top, the first has cards slots. It is not obvious at first and the manual doesn't say where they are. I just started pulling on the top and saw there was a sencond lid up there. Make sure you plug the mat into the first one, I heard some people couldn't get the mat to work if the plugged it into the wrong one. Newer Wii models (Black) does not have support fore GameCube controllers which happens to be where you are supposed to plug the dance mat into.
you connect the remote then you should see player 2

You could purchase any number of workout dvds to view on your TV. You can also use games like nintendo wii's wii fit, or Dance Dance Revolution. Dance Dance Revolution (DDR for short) uses a dance mat. You move your feet to the arrows on the mat as they correspond to the arrow appearing in the game on your tv screen. It is great fun and burns calories too! The most obvious thing is Wii Fit with a balance board. You can use this game to get an aerobic workout and to develop coordination.

On the top of the Wii console, there are 2 slots that hold Nintendo GameCube memory cards and controllers. Even the classic Wii remote controller can hook into these slots. So the mats have the same exact cable as the GameCube controllers
