I have some sad news for you regarding this TV series. I Did some checking, & according to actor Tom Willet, who appeared in all episodes of Dear John (including the series pilot), said on the net that there are no intentions to release the series on DVD. Apparently, he believes that if people ask Paramount( i am assuming that he is referring to Paramount television) to release Dear John on DVD, they may consider doing so.
