Dolby 5.1 is a multi-channel audio format. Basically meaning, it's surround sound. There is a Left, Centre, Right, Left Surround, Right Surround and LFE (Sub) Speaker.

Dolby 2.0 is simply 2 speakers, Left and Right. Similar to the Stereo sound you get from your TV.

The Dolby bit means it has been compressed and encoded using Dolby technolgies, normally AC3.

What is the frequency response specifications for 7.1 surround sound channels Are all 7 about 20 to 20K Hz other than center which is usually voice dialog only?

Unlike the old Dolby Pro Logic Surround, Dolby Digital 5.1 and 7.1 have full frequency response abilities for all surround channels. In reality, most sound engineers limit the frequencies sent to the rear and surround speakers since the typical home setup has smaller speakers in these positions. Of course, the LFE channel is limited to 100 to 150Hz for true sub bass operation, but can be pressed into service to provide low frequencies to compensate for small left and right front speakers.

Did the globe theater have 14 sides?

No. A part of the foundation was discovered in 1989 including the join between two of the sides. By measuring the angle between them it is possible to say with certainty that the Globe had 18 or 20 sides, and certainly not as few as 14.
