They are both very passionate, impulsive, immature and melow dramatic
I know not why whoever put the answer above was so vague, but I can add on for those who really wish to understand the similarities of these two star crossed lovers.
Yes, they are both passionate, but they are passionate in different ways. Juliet is very eccentric and intelligent and shows her passion through her words and excitement. Romeo has a depth and loves love (for those of you who do not understand what that means, I'm basically saying that love alone is something Romeo is passionate about, he cherishes it for the beautiful blessing it is) and he shows this through his words and actions.
Now, these two are both impulsive, but it is by love that they become so. Ponder this, when two people fall in love, do they not first behave a little irrationally, only acting on their love for each other and doing anything to be with that person as much as possible? Well, it is no different for Romeo and Juliet, they are both in love and because their love was so sudden they did act on impulse, however, that impulse lead their love to move too quickly, which led to multiple problems, and ultimately their deaths.
Then, I would like to respectfully disagree with whoever said these two were immature because really, that is not the case. Yes they did move too quickly with their relationship, but anyone foolish enough to begin dating any younger than about the age of sixteen is. All in all, Juliet is a very mature and wise young woman, this is shown continuously throughout the play. If anything, it should be stated that Romeo is immature.
Lastly, I would say that instead of saying the two were mellow dramatic, that instead they were very irrational as they did always think suicide was the solution to every problem that arose, and as we learn in the end, because there was no one to talk them out of it, that is how the tow met their ends in the end of the play.
