Probably the easiest answer is that most people who pray in these kind of situations are not truly christians or believe in God. Much the same as the US claiming to be so religious and righteous, but removes all signs of God from money, government building, and so on. In other words, they pray that god will save the country, but deny his existence in the same breath. Nothing but hippocrites. For the true believer he may pray, but not all prayers are answered, it's as simple as that. God is not a wish fullfiller but more of a watcher. Sometime he intercedes, other times he lets thing go.

It's normal to feel discouraged when prayers aren't answered as expected. Trust that the universe has a plan for you and sometimes answers come in unexpected ways or at different times. Keep faith and strength as you navigate through difficult situations.
