You need to be careful when dating someone of a significantly different age than yourself. Often, a person at a different age will be at a different stage in their life, and their mindset will reflect that.
Theoretically, within the bounds of age laws, there is no reason not to date someone four years younger. If you have enough in common with them, and the attraction is mutual, go right ahead.
