I have worn long sleeves almost continuously snce the age of 14. No-one has ever asked me if I have any scars. As it happens, I have one on my tummy. One woman expressed disquiet when she saw it, but I must have had compensating positive features. You have, too. In Germany in the 1800s (possibly elsewhere/when) men used to have scars deliberately put onto their faces, so they could claim to have been wounded in a duel. Wear short sleeves and say to them, 'Ah - but you should have seen the mess I made of the crocodile!'
