As it is a 1892 Winchester rifle and used by John Wayne or Duke it will be very precious and a costly item.

The john Wayne colt and Winchester were both issued in 1981 for the Winchester and 1982 for the colt. The colt is a SAA standard in which 3,100 were manufactured in 1982. The Winchester going by serialization is a Canadian john Wayne which the the proper serial number should indicate CJW928(not CJWC928). with 1,000 of these manufactured in 1981. You can contact me at lgood303 at yahoo if you have any further questions on these. I am a commemorative collector and your items are somewhat appealing to me if you ever choose to part ways with them. Thank you. Lance
These are valued at 1,475 dollars in the condition you describe.
The plot of the video, "Leather So Soft" performed by Birdman and Lil Wayne, is about a deaf interpreter, dealing with the outside world. The song is from the album, "Like Father, Like Son".
It will be stamped into the barrel just in front of the receiver, but I'm sure it's 30-30 Winchester

Unfired, like new condition, in the box, around $1800-$1900.
You are right, pardoner! The Duke often used a special Model 94 Winchester lever action with a circular oversized lever that stood out, like ( loops) used to accent photographs of crime scenes- a different application.
