yes actually but it depends on the girl and the guy. I have a guy friend that im on and off with (its a mess) but he says stuff like that alot. It could be his way of wanting attention or maybe he does like you i don't really know. Most cases a guy isn't trying to send "hidden messages" and he will just tell you straight out what he means. If he doesnt he is a emotional mess and you don't want anything to do with him. Best way to react is don't react to him saying he wants a girlfriend or a meaningful relationship. Just forget he said it. If he is interested in you he will try other more clearer ways of telling you he is interested and if he isn't interested you cant mess anything up really.
