Yes the 140 is a cheaper varient of the model 1400. Just as the model 120 is a cheaper varient of the 1200. The only difference is that the 140 and the 120 were offered with hard wood stocks where as the 1400 and the 1200 were offered in Walnut as well as hardwood and even synthetic stocks. The 140 was made as an entry level shotgun with focus towards military and police sales. They were only made for 2 years and they are getting really hard to find. Most people do not remember them at all but they were excellent shotguns.
