This is a good question. Although I have not seen one swapped other than a model 11 barrel on a American made A5 and visa versa. (This is because Remington made the American A5's). I do not believe the Belgian FN barrels can be fitted between the Remingtons. The difference being between the fixed and moveable ejectors that are part of the barrel. You might wish to challenge this answer and discuss this with a reputable Gunsmith in your area.
AnswerNo. In my research into this question, they dont come with a Remington barrel, but they say that the Remington model 11 barrel is interchangeable with the Savage 720, and visa versa. They will not be interchangeable with the Browning A5 barrel.
Browning did not make the Model 11, Remington did. If you have a Remington Model 11 in 16ga, value is between $150-$450.
This would be a Remington model 11. Not sure of your question. Please re-phrase.
Steel or Damascus barrels?
No. The Auto 5 and the Model 11 use the same design, but there are a few significant differences. The most important one is the design of the ejector. The barrels are not interchangeable.
100-300 USD
That is an 'American Browning' produced by Remington during World War II.
You will have to provide the model, type of action, barrel length, gauge
The 1894 was a side by side barrel the 1893 was the single shot
They are date code stamped on the barrel, see related links for information on the Remington Society of America.
Remington 11's are essentially Browning type shotguns with lesser values because of the name brand associated with the latter manufacturer. It is possible to find a Remington model 11 with an extra barrel with a different choke. The installed barrel and the extra barrel should have serial numbers.
No. Many manufacturers have used Browning's patents. Your gun was made by Savage/Stevens. sales@countrygunsmith.net
