You can use a "Jimmy" tool to open the door. The same way a Tow Truck Driver (or a thief) would do it. After you unlock the door with the Jimmy, use the Jimmy to reach the door handle and move it until it opens. Good luck!
Assuming you are referring to the outer door handle, remove the inner door panel and look at the back of the handle. You will see a couple of steel rods attached to the handle, remove these(they just unclip)and move them out of your way. You should be able to see a couple of small nuts holding the handle to the door. Remove these and the handle can be pulled out of the door from the outside.
If you're talking about the trailer door, you move the metal latch up, move the handle up then left or right, depending on what door until the door is unlocked, move it back into the holder and latch it on side of the trailer.

Placing the door handle opposite the hinge allows for easier opening and closing of the door. When the handle is on the opposite side, it provides better leverage and makes it more intuitive for users to grasp and operate the door.

Pulling it has this effect. This effect can be observed when opening a heavy door which opens towards you. You have to grasp the handle, then lean away from the door to open it.
In order to remover the handle from your Peugeot 206, you have to take the handle ring. Then slowly move to the bottom of the door where you will find two more screws, finally you need to pull the door so retairners come off along easily and are not damaged.
Pull the INSIDE handle as if you were going to open the door and then use a flat blade screwdriver ( or any screwdriver ) to move the latch sections apart
If I understand you right the door is opened and won't close because the latch is tripped. Lift up on the door handle and take your finger or a screw driver and move the latch to the open position
first open door or if its already open, pull inside door handle while prying up on the actual locking mechanism it should move up into where it should br
