Africans and Europeans shared immunities to Old World diseases. Its easier to make someone a slave outside of their home.

They tried to enslave the Native Americas but this being there land, used it to there advantage and fought back, making it more trouble then it was worth. Europe was already taking slaves from Africa so the America settlers started going there also, tribes in Africa that where fighting with one another would help the Europeans and American round up people from there enemies tribe.

Africans were enslaved instead of Native Americans in early American history because Native Americans were more vulnerable to diseases brought by Europeans and had more established territories that made permanent enslavement difficult. Additionally, Europeans justified the enslavement of Africans by claiming they were racially inferior, which did not apply to Native Americans in the same way.

Was a major factor in Europeans starting to rely on Africans rather than American indigenous people for labor on plantations?

The high mortality rates among indigenous populations due to diseases brought by Europeans led to the shift towards African labor on plantations. Africans were also seen as a more reliable source of labor due to their perceived immunity to certain diseases and experience with agriculture. Additionally, the Atlantic slave trade provided a large supply of enslaved Africans for labor in the Americas.

What role did African tribes play in the slave trade?

African tribes participated in the transatlantic slave trade by capturing and selling individuals from rival tribes as slaves to European slave traders. Some tribes also profited from the trade by serving as middlemen for European slave traders. However, it's important to note that the majority of Africans enslaved and sent to the Americas were captured and sold by Europeans, rather than by their fellow Africans.

What caused the relationship between europe and africa to change?

At first, the Europeans and the Africans traded in a way that everyone is equal. After Christopher Columbus found America, the Europeans gradually turned their attention to the Americas rather than Asia. In the new land, the Spaniards were the first to settle there. As they enslaved the Native Americans, more settlers came. However, the hard labor and diseases killed them quickly. In the need of new labor, they turned their attention back to Europe and Asia. The Europeans were not used to the hard work and the Asian workers weren't enough. Eventually, they found the ideal workers - Africans. The Africans were used to the long hours of work and they have the knowledge of farming. Since then, the Europeans and the Americans started the slave trade and took away the rights of the Africans little be little, believing that they were inferiors.
