The atom bomb was invented in ww2 for 2 reasons. 1 was the united state correctly thought that the Naziswere developing a nuclear weapon. The other reason was the US. wanted a quick end to the war in japan that did not have to do with an invasion of the Japanese home islandswhich would of cost millions of lives on both sides
