Petrol is a liquid that gives off vapor that can be ignited. Smoking is a source of ignition. Bad combination. In 2 words, fire safety.
Buckets containing sand are kept ready at petrol bunks as a safety measure in case of a fuel spill. Sand can be quickly spread over the spilled fuel to absorb it and prevent it from spreading further. This helps to reduce the risk of a fire or explosion.
bunks. or racks.
because if the fire off the cigarette touches the petrol then the whole gas station could blow up
because when i tip of fire is put at petrol it may catch fire and it may lead to big accident's.
You can't smoke in a petrol station because petrol especially has very volatile vapours. In theory petrol in the liquid where the air is controled will put out a flame which is beneth it. Petrol is at it's most dangerous in it's vapour and therefore smoking is a no no in petrol stations.
As of my last knowledge update in October 2021, there were over 600 petrol bunks in Bangalore. However, the number may have changed since then due to new openings or closures. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's best to check local directories or official sources.
