Ipod

You restart your iPod. to restart your ipod, you press the center button and the button you usually use to turn off your ipod for at least ten seconds or until you see the apple sign. then you can turn off your ipod.

if that doesn't work, go to settings and click reset settings. then try turning it off. When you say Ipod? do you not mean Windows Vista? Eh

If the "Hold" button is down when you turn off your I-Pod, It will turn back on in a matter of 10 mins. There are at least two diff probs when your ipod won't turn off. 1) Ipod is hung and won't respond to turn off signal (pressing bottom of wheel) at all--stays lit no matter how long you press. This happens sometimes when, for example, your ipod is connected to a docking device and you turn it off while pressing bottom of wheel wheel - then you immediately unplug it the ipod, which lights it up again -- sometimes it will won't then respnod to a a shut off signal by pressing bottom of wheel. This prob has been recurring on opds for years and can be fixed with a reset. 2) Ipod turns off for half a second and comes right back on --when you press the bottom of the wheel, the ipod turns off for about a half second or so and lights right back up again. This prob has an unknown cause and is not fixed by a reset. If you restore, the prob will be fixed UNTIL you reload you music files onto the Ipod - then the prob automatically returns. Some suspect this prob has to do with a file problem and ipod's inability to appropriately deal with the file problem.

Ensure that when the iPod buttons are not being used, including when it is switched off, that the unit is locked. To do this slide the "lock" switch to the "locked" position. If the unit is in the locked position and the buttons still function then the lock slider may be broken.

I had the same problem. You turn it off but when you turn it on its out of batteries. JUst hold down the power button at the top until it says slide to turn off. slide it then hold to turn on.

This happened to me once what you do is hold the center button along with the menu button on the click wheel. Hold them until the apple logo comes up on the screen.

If you send it into Apple they can probably fix, or you can go to an Apple store, they might be able to fix it.
