Why is it easy going green?

I would not assume there was any kind of deception here, but rather note that there are many who wish to believe that going green means making difficult, radical changes in our lives largely due to the challenge of changing pure habit and inertia. One who might oppose that opinion believes that it is not that difficult to recycle, i.e. put that can it in this receptacle instead of that receptacle. Green is good and therefore may provide increased motivation all in itself to make those changes. Once generations are green, there will no longer be "going green".
