in the movie advent children she, kadaj and his two follwers "thought" of aerith as there mother cus she kept appearing in the light. and if u watch carefully towards the end, you will hear aerith saying, "I think they think me as there mother." or something like that.....

I don't belive that that was the same ribbon that Areis/Aerith wore in FF7, however, she may be wearing a similar ribbon to the one that Aeris/Aerith wore, because if you noticed, Cloud,Tifa,Cid, and maybe some of the others all had red ribbons on their arms in honor and memory of Aeris/Aerith.
