Rumour or urban legend has it that a white bic lighter was found in the vicinity of or on the person of several rock stars when they met their untimely demise. Jimi Hendix, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain have all been mentioned. I guess this doesn't explain the WHY exactly, but that certainly was a spot of bad luck each encountered.
