there is a multitude of problems maybe you hit it hard enough that it broke, the hard drive is failing, the power button isn't working, the motherboard is failing, the cpu is failing and more so there isn't one definitive answer but the most common one amongst people is that you hit it hard enough that it broke

Here are several reasons why Laptops may not turn on.

1. The battery is out

2. No supply of energy

3. Over heated (unlike desktops [a.k.a computers] Laptops need space to release the heat that its making at the bottom.

4. the external battery supply/ umbilical cable isn't connected

5. the laptop is dead

6. laptop is malfunctioning

7. Power supply is at 000%
