Why does tip of cigarette becomes red when lighted?

as anyone who smokes cigs, should know once the flame from a lighter touches the paper and tobacco and you breathe in it helps start a fire.

i dont know what people expect do they expect it to be blue or what?

and actually if you put the cigarette out on your arm it wont be red anymore, always put a cigarette out on some part of your body, never litter ;)
