Usually the orange tint is indicative of rust inhibiting packing grease which was applied at the factory at the time of shipping. This can be seen somtimes, and somtimes not. When I receive a brand new firearm I start right away by stripping the weapon down and removing the packing grease. In the Marine Corp we would use mogas to do the job on cosmoline grease.I find that CNC brake kleen,or CNC carb and choke cleaner works best in the civilian world. It will take some elbow grease to get the job done, but well worth the effort in the end.I will use Remingtons rem-oil with Teflon as my lubricant and rust inhibitor on all firearms after stripping the storage grease off the weapon.
