I find in strange how in emergencies i remain calm while others are either in shock or panic. Last year i was in an accident and nearly passed out from the intense pain, yet, i remained calm, immediately giving instructions to a family member on what to do and how to help me. Another time, years ago, a family member injured themself and immediately i went into a certain kind of state where i was helping to stop the bleeding, ordering others on what to do, and those two people were in a state of shock, the other in panic. I never wondered about it until now, what causes people to remain calm and clear thinking during emergencies, even their own emergency? Is it survival mode? or flight or fight? or something else entirely?

It functions by allowing the door to be pushed open with minimal force, activating the latch mechanism to release the door. This enables people to quickly escape from a building in case of a fire or other emergency without the need for turning a handle or using a key.
