People become addicted to opiates because of the euphoric high that they give off. In my opinion coming off or as it is more commonly known withdrawing off of it is the easy part, coping with life in a reality sense is the unfortunate inevitability. whatever the reason may be, if your lonely, if someone you love has passed away, if you fall into depression. there are many different reasons as is to why. i myself am addicted to opiates so i can relate to many struggling with addiction. i wake up in the morning so angry and depressed because i am lonely. addiction is a serious disease i recommend counseling also suboxone helps i think we all just need to feel love. God bless you all to are addicted and i pray that you dig deep within yourselves to uncover the mask and truly find happiness, because the sad truth is that continuing on this path only leads to more pain and suffering i have faith in you all fighting addiction is easy if you want to. Good Luck

Are painkillers illegal?

No, not all painkillers are illegal. There is a certain limit however to how strong the painkiller can be. Some of the strongest ones that are sold are things like Tylenol and Morphine. Do not take them too much or your body can get addicted and dependent. Doctors are only allowed to give painkillers of a certain strength since anything above that strength can cause almost immediate addiction, and terrible health problems. So, some painkillers are legal - and others not. I hope that was helpful!
