Actually boys don't make your hormones go wild.

It is a part of the normal process of puberty that the production of hormones increases, which accounts for the physical (curves, breasts, pubic hair, etc.), physiological (menstruation the whole female reproductive cycle, vagina prep, tender nipples, even acne) and psychological, sexual attraction, cravings. It is a ironic that the same hormones that make boys interesting are exactly the ones that are responsible for acne. Although I don't think its ever been proven, but it may be possible that the presence of that certain guy may cause a small, temporary surge of hormones. It is a fact that guys needs estrogen & progesterone, and girls testosterone (in proper amounts) for normal development. Testosterone is actually responsible for sex drive in both men & women. The whole thing is a setup for making babies during the era when people are healthiest. Guy hormones go wild too, for the same reasons.
