It is nothing religious and has nothing to do with Christianity. There are to views of Christmas - you talk about the second one, look:
1. For christians, Christmas is the Holy Day, when Jesus Christ born from Vigin Mary in Bethleem, to give people word of God in his teachings, and eventually be crucified for redemption of whole mankind. This means that God-himself became human (there were many heresies in history about the way that this was done) to sacrifice himself instead of punishing mankind.
2. Lot of shopping, gifts, choclate, trees, food TV, "Santas" etc. By the way, "Santa" is good topic for another question in this category.
However, this doesn't mean that christians don't eat choclate, or don't eat choclate. No, it is okay, but some people simply lost the meaning of that day. They only do shopping etc. Christmas are not Christmas when you don't go to church to thank god for his Son, which came this day on earth to free us from eternal punishment in hell.
There are no restrictions to what Christians can and can't eat. Therefore, Christians can eat whatever they want at Christmas time :D Ie. Food or mumma's milk if you're little enough :D In my opinion, the most tastiest thing to eat is Grandma's sausage rolls and potato salad. Just sayin'
well mine depends if everyone is there first so if they not there we dont eat but at some point they come so late we just have to eat
We eat log cakes on Christmas because they taste delicious. No but for real we eat log cakes on Christmas because it represents a piece of log that goes into a nice warm cozy fire. I got this from my teacher so I am not exactly sure if this information is true.
