The Japanese, however, do sit on the floor to eat. They feel that digestion and circulation is better. The Chinese still have lots of customs that they practice and live by, but their culture had nothing to do with sitting on the floor or in a chair. 700 years ago and longer, people were still learning how to make things but first someone had to have a need or want for the idea to be born.
