one big drawback of latest iphone (of the v3.0 software in fact) is that now the screen rotates in every application. it is presented to us as a great feature, in fact it is not. imagine you are lying on your bed with your head turned to the right, and want to use your iphone. It will go to portrait mode, but your eyes want to see it in portrait mode because you are not standing up. What would be useful is to optionally have a button on the screen to switch from portrait to landscape
For 3.2.3, if you have the window up to edit the screen, on the top right there is a little curvy arrow. That should rotate your iPhone horizontally. Now I am just trying to figure out how to do this in Xcode 4....
U cant
If you have Find My iPhone activated, you can put it in lost mode, wipe your memory, and a few other security functions. You can change your iTunes password online, but not your screen lock pin.

How to lock the orientation on the iPhone 3GS with iOS 4We show you how to lock the orientation on your iPhone 3GS running iOS 4 to prevent accidental rotationsEnabling rotation lock on the iPhone 3GSPublished on Jul 6, 2010The iPhone 3GS running iOS 4 can automatically switch between portrait and landscape orientations in many areas of the iOS interface. This can be tremendously useful. For example, many people find that viewing Web pages is better in portrait mode, but typing a URL into the address bar is much easier in landscape mode. There are many cases, however, when you'd rather have your iPhone stay in portrait mode even when it is tilted to the side. In these instances, you can easily lock your iPhone's orientation so it will no longer rotate.Follow these simple steps to lock the orientation of your iPhone 3GS:From any screen, double-tap the home buttonScroll as far left as you can on the multitasking dockThe first symbol to the left will be a circular arrowSelect this to either lock or unlock the orientation of your iPhone 3GSThat's it!

The isue is the differential between the colour range on the computer which could have a graphics card, high def screen and the picture might be low resolution and the screen of an Iphone which will have in most cases limited colour spectrum to call on. In addition it will depend on the format the picture is coming out of Photoshop i.e. RGB mode (millions of colors) CMYK mode (four-printed colors)Index mode (256 colors)
