its because the 3 beer distributors (jarboe, central and action) have a monopoly on all the beer distribution and stand to loose money on beer sales if there was a law on the books. Its stupid but welcome to bible belt country

Try your state's Liquor Control Agency or ABC Board or whatever they call it in Texas. That being said, there may well notbe any regulation against it. Thanksgiving is not celebreated as a religious holiday, which is the reasoning behind liquor stores closing on national holidays such as Christmas and Easter, but does not require them to be closed on the 4th of July, or Veteran's Day.

If its an alcoholic, then its probably filled with liquor and you will get alcohol poisoning. If its not alcoholic, then no you cant get toxins, I think.
