Monday used to be the Barber's Holiday...all barbershops were open on Saturday to serve customers who couldn't get off work or school during the weekdays, so to ensure barbers got a two-day weekend all barbershops used to be closed on Monday.
This may be the theory behind closing a tattoo shop on Monday, but for the life of me I can't think of a tattoo shop that is closed on that day.
