Sometimes people are are also attracted to people older than them because that’s what they like (and I’m talking about people who are already out of high school). It may just be their type.
The last reason I can think of (and we’re going back to middle and high schoolers) is that older kids seem to be “cooler”. For example when I was in high school girls in 9th grade loved dating seniors and this could have been because they were seen as ”more mature” but it was also seen as ”cool” to date a senior.
if I could just offer a piece of advice, if you want to date someone’s older than you you have to be VERY careful. from what I’ve seen older guys tend to take advantage of young girls, so if you are a girl and like a guy older than you and you start dating make sure that he doesn’t just want to have s*x. Make sure that he isn’t embarrmessed to be seen with you and make sure he doesn’t want to keep you separate from his friends and family because those may be signs that he isn’t using you. If you aren’t a girl same thing goes, however, i will say it isn’t much more likely for this to happen to girl.
