This is an absurd question. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with being gay. Even the sexual act that so many have a problem with will never have a valid moral objection against it. No, "god said so" is not valid since it doesn't tell you anything about the morallity of the act. Though hell is likely fictional, I would rather burn there for eternity than worship an immoral god.

Citing sexual diseases as a reason why homosexuals are bad makes no sense. Heterosexuals spread the same diseases. This error in your logic absolutely means your opinion is invalid. Higher rate doesn't matter. You're making a judgment of an entire group of people because some of them spread disease. Alcoholism is bad too. Alcoholism is more prevalent in men than women. Would you say that makes men bad?

Also citing some county report about sexual diseases being more prevalent in gays doesn't make your opinion valid. It makes you seem even more ignorant. Prevalence doesn't of sexual diseases doesn't translate to immorality. In fact, the things people do that make people bad (rape, murder, assault, robbery, etc...) are almost exclusively done by strait males.

It happens to be the county I live in but you can check any other large county if you want, I have. I never mentioned immorality because it's a ridiculous stand point for an argument. Homosexuals aren't immoral in my opinion. I merely stated that the high rate of STD's spread because of gay men that contribute to the epidemic is bad. If a certain sect of a society has a negative impact within a community than that is deemed as something bad. Same goes for alcoholism, the things alcoholic's do are bad when they influence a community negatively think of DWI or crashes that result in pain and death. They are a drain on society, the same goes for any other social group that impacts the world in a bad way. If this sort of thing pertained to any other area of society I would say the same thing. It's not because I have anything against homosexuality, I have something against things that are bad for the world and right now the question is about gays and whether or not they are bad. While not all gays spread diseases, not all alcoholics get DWI's or act negatively, but a high amount do and that in itself is worth considering bad for the purpose of answering question.

If you're going to make a claim that all gays are bad, then supply an argument that is applicable to all gays.

Do you not notice the question? It says WHY are gays bad? We're not talking about alcoholics we are talking about gays. THE GAY COMMUNITY. I think gays are bad because they're sexual habits spread disease more rapidly than other sexually active groups of people. And for the gays that don't spread disease, good for them, but an ever growing percentage of the gays that were once clean had sex and contracted STD's and the cycle continues to develop hence the sexual practices of homosexuals are high risk, that's unsafe. Generally what's unsafe is bad.

Re-wording: Why are alcoholics bad? We're not talking about gays, we're talking about alcoholics. The alcoholic community. I think alcoholics are bad because their social lifestyle of heavy drinking more often than not encourages poor behavior compared to other socially active groups of people. And for the alcoholics that don't participate in poor behavior, good for them, but an ever growing percentage of alcoholics who drink alcohol participate in poor behavior hence the alcohol consumption of alcoholics is high risk, that's unsafe. Generally what's unsafe is bad. That doesn't mean their immoral, it means FOR THE ALCOHOLIC drinking comes at a higher risk than for the non-alcoholic, FOR THE HOMOSEXUAL, contracting diseases comes at a higher risk than for the heterosexual.

Alcoholics are a group because they all have in common the fact that their habit has become harmful.

Gays are a group because they are attracted to the same sex. NOT because some of them spread disease.

And no, heterosexuals have the same risk. The diseases don't change because of a sexual preference.

You're harping on the STD problem because you think gays are at the root of it. That's simply not true. In fact, the biggest AIDS epidemic is in Africa because of the high level of rape (heterosexual rape).

Your arguments are so poorly constructed. "You are gay. Gays are more likely to get STDs. STD are bad, so you must be bad too." Would you tell a homosexual that? Because that's what you're writing.
