For example, if you asked what a .22 rifle is worth, there have been millions of .22 rifles made, and there is no way that we could give an accurate answer. However, if you asked what a Marlin Model 39A rifle, serial number prefixed with letter M, new-in-box with papers is worth, we would have a much better chance of answering it. If you asked "What is a car worth?- the answer might be $25 for a wrecked Ford Maverick, or $200,000 for a 1968 Camaro with 25,000 miles, and original paint in excellent condition.
