Blue Book of Gun Values has a store brand chart. Also, e-gunparts.com
Sears used the Ranger trade tame prior to WWII. Sears used a numerical code to identify the manufacturer with numbers to the right of the decimal point to indicate the particular model. Ranger 101 bolt action was probably made by Stevens or Savage but one would need the full number (for example 101.xxxx) to narrow it down.
The only Ranger 101.4s I've seen were shotguns, all chambered in .410 gauge.
Rifles have bolt actions and I've never seen a bolt action on a shotgun or handgun
Ranger Shotguns were sold by Sears Roebuck and Company. Several companies made the Ranger including J. Stevens Arms, Merlin, and Hunter Arms.
The shotguns were manufactured in the 1930s. The shotguns are worth at least $200 or more, depending upon their condition.
They are still being made
You have not asked a question yet. Yes, there were 16 g bolt action shotguns. Mossberg ,ade them, as well as other makers.
$150 on a good day. Bolt action shotguns aren't all that popular.
Mossberg made most of the Hawthorne bolt action shotguns. They were sold as a Montgomery Wards special.
50-100
Sorry- your question leaves us with questions. There are bolt action shotguns, such as the Mossberg 183 series, and bolt action pistols, such as the Remington XP-100. Could you please rephrase your question for clarity?
The Word ranger was used by Winchester to denote a economy version of there regular rifles and shotguns. The model 670 was a economy version of the famous model 70 bolt action rifle.Winchester also made a ranger model 94 rifle, and various ranger model shotguns during their many years of being in business.
Well, I don't- too busy answering questions here- but several companies have made bolt action shotguns- I have 3 of them. Two are Mossbergs, and one is an H&R. They are not fancy, but very serviceable hunting weapons.
