Paul Cuffee, a wealthy mixed-race New England shipowner and activist, was an early advocate of settling freed blacks in Africa. He gained support from black leaders and members of the US Congress for an emigration plan. In 1811 and 1815-16, he financed and captained successful voyages to British-ruledSierra Leone, where he helped African-American immigrants get established.[4] Although Cuffee died in 1817, his efforts may have "set the tone" for the American Colonization Society (ACS) to initiate further settlements.
There are many different metaphors that can be used for greed. You can say that "I am greed" for example or you can say that "her love was like greed."
WALLSTREET............
No. Greed is an addiction. People say "I'm greedy" or "I feel greedy" but really Greed is not a feeling, it is indeed an addiction.
The word greed could be used like this. Greed, even if it is just for certain things, will ultimately be the thing that makes you fall.
Capitalism as an economic system breeds greed. Individually, most people reject greed but as capitalism is a system that values individualism and "getting ahead" and as it is a system that must grow at whatever cost, it engenders greed.
Calvinism relates slavery with capitalism. Extreme individualism expressed as egoism/greed resulting in disrespect of life/nature. As seen in former South Africa and America.
Nowadays slavery takes the form of people trafficking, especially woman and children, to work as sex slaves or to be exploited in sweat shops/factories working for a minimum wage or for no wage. The reason is for greed and money

Profit: Slave owners profited a great deal through economic growth. It is also written that through free enslaved labor, they pushed with great force that the true profit wasn't relied on how much income was brought in from export, but rather from how much sweat they could get out of a slave. Greed: Slave owners caused slavery because of human nature. They mainly depended on slaves to carry out the whole work force of their society back then. The government depended on slaves to complete public services. Families/Households relied on slaves to raise their family, serve their family, complete household chores, and etc.... Nothing was done themselves, including bathing or getting dress was done by slaves. Because of this greed, they wanted more slaves, therefore requested for more slaves to be brought in on ships traveling from Africa. Social-Status: Human nature allows us to feel or show emotions in many ways. One of them is jealousy. Through jealousy, slave owners saw fellow neighbors or other families with slaves and wanted to fit in, this led them to purchase slaves in order to fit in. Even though a family couldn't afford their household in addition to owning a slave, they chose to purchase a slave as a basic necessity in life as well for social acceptance. Power: Slave owners displayed power by basically mistreating, abusing (Emotionally & Physically), sometimes even killing slaves. Through how they controlled slaves came power. With this power, slaves feared their masters. The more slaves became inferior of these slave owners, the more their power grew.
Yes They would, because they were driven by greed and it was most about the trade of valuable items, like slaves than about religion
