Element Electronics is an American-owned producer of flat panel televisions. As of 2014, it is the only American company assembling TV sets in the United States. Element began producing flat panel TVs in March 2012 in a factory in Detroit. The company also plans to open a second plant in South Carolina, which is estimated to bring 500 jobs to the area over a period of five years. The brand is expected to be carried by Walmart, Target, and other retailers.
