Are you sure of the model number?
The 1900 is just a single shot bolt action. If you are having trouble loading it make sure you are not trying to load Long Rifle carts. as it was chambered for shorts and longs. Make sure there are no obstructions in the breech or barrel. Gene61
hard to tell for sure without a pic and more information, but best guess would be an FN-49
Not sure what brand/model you are referring to- but the most "skeletonized" 22 rifle I have seen was an all metal single shot twist barrel gun made by Garcia- the Bronco. They are $75-$150, depending on condition.
Need a DETAILED descriptioin of ALL markings, features, finish, condition, sights, stock, bbl length, box, papers, accessories, etc..
From my understanding, Winchester lever action rifles, muzzle loading shotguns and single action revolvers were very common. Actually, there was a recent episode of "Sons of Guns" that featured a Winchester rifle (what was thought to be) a "blood gun" from the feud. Not sure of the caliber of any of them.
I'm not quite sure about the 3006, but I know that the longest recorded kill shot with a .308 was at about one and a half miles, possibly more.
For MOST- make sure rifle is unloaded. Open bolt, draw to the rear. Press and HOLD trigger, and slide the bolt out of the rifle.
Not sure how long ago this question was posted, but the Hawthorne Sentry rifles were actually made by Colt Firearms Co for Sears and is the same as the Colt "Colteer" 1-22. Cold marketed both a single shot rifle and semi auto rifle that were named Colteer. There is some discussion as to whether COLT firearms actually manufactured these rifles themselves or had the manufacture vended out to a company named Kodiak. In any event, it is a clone of the Colt Colteer. A good rifle for it's intended market, a basic single shot "Boy's" rifle, and made in the late 1950's.
