Best Answer

Many people did, the main 4 were William Wilberforce, Olaudah Equiano, Granville Sharp and Mary Prince.

Also one other important person was Jonathan Strong who ran away as a slave and was being badly beaten up by his owner. That was when Granville Sharp has saw him being tortured and took him to court to make him free.

Mary Prince and Olaudah Equiano both wrote a book about their life story after they were free which turned many people against slavery

Last of all William Wilberforce was one of the member of parliament and he made many speeches to end slavery

Hope this helps
