  • It's religion against gay marriages which is a hot and basically ignored topic with government officials because The Bible says 'Man shall not lay with man, nor woman with woman.' However, not all people are Christians and the government is trying their hardest to abolish Christianity in the U.S. and Canada and some are just plain 'red necks' looking for trouble and taking it out on gays. My personal opinion is that there is enough pain and suffering in this world, not to mention a war and a fight for world power. One would think that such things as 9/11 (all the world should learn from this) that we should be acting like brothers and sisters and not worrying about the sexual orientation of others. Since the churches have stood fast behind the Bible it would make sense to let the gays have their own Ministers and perform the marriages. Rule of thumb ... when a power wants to do something they shouldn't be doing then they pick a hot topic to confuse the people and get the attention of civilians in that area while these powers get what they really want. It's been done in the past and is continuing to be done. Gays that want to be married often have been with their partners for many years and just want to live in piece as a married couple. I say believe in your own faith; let the gay people have their own Minister to perform marriages and start opening ones eyes to the reality of what really is happening in our own countries and to the world.

The stakeholders in same-sex marriage are same-sex couples. These are the only people whose lives change when same-sex marriage is legalized. Same-sex couples gain the rights and benefits of marriage when same-sex marriage is legal. No one loses anything. Incidentally, the debate over same-sex marriage in the United States ended on June 26, 2015.
