This is totally fine and normal. Don't sweat!
All it is is the tongue's version of a scab. Since its a moist environment though, it's not going to be a normal looking/feeling scab that you would get on your skin. Basically, white blood cells rushing towards the excess bacteria in the wound, and it forms pus. The pus gradually just ends up forming a white lump near your piercing which will go away when your tongue is totally healed. Just keep rinsing with sea salt.
It's the tongues version of a scab it will ease off as the piercing heals, relax.
Yeah that's normal and it will ease and disappear as the piercing heals. It's basically the same type of discharge that would occur with any other piercing except the discharge is on your tongue so it looks weird. Fuzzy tongue! It's OK it will go away just stay on your aftercare routine.
Many years ago I had a hard white lump on the underside of my tongue. It was there for many months then just disappeared. It didn't hurt unless I played with it. One day I noticed it was gone and that was it.
No Having any form of lump or bump next to a closed piercing indicates there is some form of issue with the piercing. This also depends on how long the jewellery has been out of the piercing and how long you had the piercing before removing the jewellery. If you develop any pain or discomfort seek the assistance of your doctor.
NO. It'd help if you went to a piercing shop and asked them what was wrong with your piercing. The lump around it could be a sac of infection.
it means you have tongue cancer
Yes and it will close with a lump on it.
Its a keloid..and is normal. It's scar tissue. Be careful if you take out the jewelry, it may close right up on you with that being there. Yes its normal I have 3 tongue piercings and have got a "bubble" twice. my piercer told me to get a desolvable aspirin dip it in some water to get it fizzing up and hold it on the bubble for a few mintues a day. What this does is the aspirin burns the bubble and within 2 - 4 days it should be gone. This works with any piercing. I did the same with my both sides of my nose.
to much weiner sucking
The lump is simply the skin reforming and re-healing around your piercing.. youll always have a little one but the swelling significantly subsides through the healing process. =] good luck!
No. I had one too when my lip piercing was still healing. It's scar tissue and will go away as the piercing heals.
It is called the Bolus
