All organs affected by malnutrition. Though embryo grows regardless of Mothers nutritional status. (It means, it will not care for for Mother and draws nutrition making her deficient in nutrition.)It can not help if Mother is LACKING in nutrition it needs. If simple green leafy vegetables are not there in food Mitosis will be affected. One cell turns into 100 trillion cells, when baby is born. This is just one example to mention and all nutrients are needed for growth of the fetus. It becomes small for date, means of very low weight.
