Depends on the amount of time spent and overall amount of running one does. Basketball has a lot of back and forth while tennis you usually have to run constantly as there is no one to take up the slack. Generally tennis would burn more calories.
Swimming burns around 476 calories per hour, and basketball burns around 544 calories per hour (for a game) and 406 (non-game, like shooting free throws and dribbling).
Skipping burns more calories than walking or riding. This burns more calories because it is more of a full body exercise.
Soccer is more popular
It depends. Personally i would say football. But soccer can be dangerous too. I've played it for 9 years i would know. Then u have to think on who is playing the sport is it a 5 year old or a 20 year old. In 2006 418,260 children were sent to the emergency room with injuries from playing football. Soccer produced only 174,686.
Ray Allen because he is one of the only players ever to keep on running around screens just to get the ball. Also most of the times he is assigned to the other team's star (Kobe, Wade, Monta, etc).
