If it has a star with an arrow in on the top of receiver cover, it was made at Tula Arsenal in the USSR, provided it's the proper receiver cover for that rifle. The inscriptions by the serial number wouldn't be "TA" however.. they used Cyrillic lettering, so the serial number would probably be Тд4001, rather than "TA".
The North Korean Type 63 also had a star on the receiver cover, with the number "63" underneath, but these are extremely rare, and, if you do have one, quite valuable.
Check for the importer's mark (usually somewhere on the barrel). It will list the company which imported it, a basic description of the rifle, and the country of origin.
