The original inventor of the laptop wanted it to be called a top lap, after his top hat he was famous for wearing. Unfortunately his overzealous busyness partner decided that it should be named after a combination of his favourite things: Strip clubs (lap dances), Labradors (that's where the la comes from) and top, which is actually an acronym for totally orange pineapples! Crazy huh!?
